Dr. Brown’s Background
Dr. Julie Brown’s passion for healthcare began as a child when she participated in individual and group gymnastics, an activity in which maintaining a healthy lifestyle is critical. In addition to her interest in this health-conscious sport, she grew up with a parent that experienced specific health issues, which made the medical field that much more personal and important to her.
She attended the University of Washington and subsequently followed up in the medical field, starting a career as a massage therapist. Following that, Dr. Brown worked with a chiropractor that inspired her to earn another diploma from Southern California University of Health Sciences, a D.C. degree and a Magna Cum Laude honor.
Dr. Brown is a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist and a Fellow of the American College of Functional Neurology in Traumatic Brain Injury. She achieved these through her studies with the Carrick Institute and by attending grand rounds with Dr. Ted Carrick, DC, who is a leader in concussion therapy and rehabilitation.
Los Alamitos Chiropractor, Dr. Julie Brown, received the highly regarded honor of Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. This designation is achieved only by those that have taken 300 post-doctoral hours of coursework in Functional Neurology and passed the rigorous written and performance exams required for certification by the ACNB.
