“Soft tissue injuries” are often very serious, and can leave patients in pain for months, years, and often lead to life-changing chronic pain for an indefinite length of time.
MRI studies, if indicated by the mechanism of injury (whiplash-trauma, T-bone trauma, etc.), property damage (from minor impact cases to the major visible ones), and/or current health status (“eggshell” condition at time of trauma), are absolutely essential in determining the extent of injuries.
Patients should be referred to the appropriate specialists as medically indicated (pain intervention physicians, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, neuropsychologists, etc.).
The Los Angeles Trial Lawyers' Charities mission is to make a positive difference in the quality of life for people within the greater Los Angeles area, focusing on issues related to education, children, survivors of abuse, persons with disabilities and homelessness.
