Meet Dr. Matthewson

Dr. Graeme Matthewson is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, with advanced expertise in arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle. He also performs complex shoulder reconstructions and cartilage restoration procedures.

Originally from Winnipeg, Canada, Dr. Matthewson’s approach to orthopedic care is rooted in personal experience with sports-related injuries, which shaped his patient-centered, rehabilitation-focused philosophy.
After graduating at the top of his class from the University of Calgary Medical School, Dr. Matthewson completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Manitoba, followed by advanced fellowship training in sports medicine in Southern California.

In addition to surgical care, Dr. Matthewson offers in-office platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections for select soft tissue and joint injuries.
